Research

A major emphasis of the His Mansion Institute (HMI) is to intentionally observe what God does in our community to help hurting young men and women through the healing process. We believe healthy, thoughtful research can help in the development of models and processes—not formulas—so that we can serve our residents most effectively.

Research is not done to regulate or somehow package the work of the Holy Spirit. And in no way are our residents or staff ever used as guinea pigs. Research is how we learn to improve what we do and how we become better at communicating effectively with others wanting to do this type of ministry—healing in the context of community.

Fritz Maurer, MA, our director of counseling, is pursuing his PhD in counseling under the umbrella of HMI and will be doing his research on “Brokenness and how that affects readiness for change.” We look forward to the possibility of future research projects that will help further the work at His Mansion and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
