Healing in Christian Community (HCC): One Week Course

What is it?
HCC is both our philosophy of ministry and a one-week training course. The course has three main purposes. First, it serves as a wonderful "taste and see" opportunity in regards to what God is doing in the lives of residents and staff at His Mansion Ministries, a Christ-centered healing community. Second, the course gives the participant the chance to examine their own lives and walk of faith and to begin a deeper spiritual journey with Christ as a result.

Finally, it serves as a training course for Christ followers that desire to love and serve hurting and broken people in their own communities. Many participants are interested in supporting an existing healing ministry or in developing a new one in their home church, neighborhood, or other community context.

HCC happens three times a year. These weeks are invigorating times when God's Spirit moves in bold ways in the hearts of all who are learning, healing, and living in community at His Mansion. Please join us and find your life transformed by God in our community.

Who should participate?
Men and women who want to love and serve hurting and broken people experiencing drug/sex/alcohol addictions, mental health and eating disorders, and/or physical/emotional/sexual trauma. We welcome all devoted Christ followers at any stage of life, a variety of professions, students and non-students, pastors and lay folks.

What is the core content?
Classes cover the following topics:
     -His Mansion program overview and process
     -Basic Counseling Skills
     -Process of Healing
     -Understanding addictions and recovery
     -Genogram and Timelines (family and self-reflection exercise)
     -Family Dynamics
     -Medications and Mental Health
     -Spiritual Warfare

During the week you will be intimately involved in our community through worship, prayer, meals together, testimonies, conversation and recreation.

What does it cost?
Program fee is $125.00 - includes one week of teaching, room and board, and community living and activities. If arriving by airplane, transportation from and to Manchester Regional Airport is provided by His Mansion Ministries.

Healing in Christian Community (HCC): Eight Week Practicum

The extended version covers topics not addressed in the one week session. These include "Developing Capability" and other important materials. Participants will also study the dynamics of chemical addition and the unique issues surrounding substance abuse, sexual addictions, eating disorders, depression, spiritual warfare and more.

The main purpose of the extended HCC is to prepare Mentor candidates for the tasks ahead of them. We also welcome qualified individuals who desire this training with a view to practicing their skills in their local churches and among the Fourth World community.

The cost of the extended Healing in Christian Community course is the same as the one-week version, just $125. Participants will be assigned to work crews during their stay. Just like the residents, they will need to work to eat. Those who commit to serving for one year as Mentors will have their tuition refunded.
